Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders' labor in vain. Psalm 127:1

Yes, friends,

If God doesn't build the house, our labor would be in vain. We can't do any thing with Him. But thanks the Lord, God the father is the builder of this house. We have felt God's gracious hands open for this beautiful building.

I have been praying for long time but we never thought we will have such a big and beautiful building so soon for us and for these helpless, hopeless and needy children. Our children are so curious and eager to move in this house as soon as possible. Thanks the Lord for providing this building for these homeless children. Now a homeless child has a home (place) to make their future bright and to live in a warm home with out any hesitation.

I am so thankful and grateful to Dr. Jim, SOHO family and all our friends who involved in this great project. I am personally very proud of you. I appreciate your kind heart and generous donations for this building. All the credit goes to the Lord and also to you all. I would say May the Lord our God bless you richly on your labor hands and minds. God honors your heart".

The building is being ready to put the reinforced cement concrete casting. It will be by April 12 or 13. So you can see the shirting for it on the building. Hope you will enjoy seeing it.

Prayer Request for :

  • Rest of the money for building project. We need to locate more $9500 @ 70 to complete the building. If God wills, we need to buy a plot (a piece of land) in front of our building.
  • The children's school results.
  • April 7th Easter Rally program in Pokhara. I have to arrange the entire program.
  • 40th Gospel reaching celebration on April 17-19 at Dhading. I have to speak there.
  • April 26, An Open Air Gospel program in Pokhara. I am going to speak (sharing gospel openly) on that day.
  • Complete peace in Nepal. The new interim government. Maoist also involved in the government since yesterday.

Your prayer is so precious and important to me to do all these works for His glory.

With love and prayer.

FEBRUARY 28, 2007

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Greetings in His precious name Jesus Christ. It is great privilege to say thanks for your precious and valuable prayer and generous donations for us. I am very much thankful with you all for participating with me in this wonderful ministry. Thanks the Lord for giving us the same heart and same vision to serve Him in this world.

God is doing wonderful and great things in our lives. We have been praying for a house since the beginning of this children ministry in 2003. And our prayer was to have a own house in 2007. Wow ! What a wonderful God is He! We are going to have a good house soon within 2007. It's amazing and out of my imagination. I never thought that we would have such big and beautiful house but these days I am feeling that God had this wonderful plan for us many years ago. Our children and we are so happy to have our new building soon.

It's very interesting that the building project is going so well. You can see in the pictures how it is going. Almost 85% of the walls and partitions are finished. Still there are lots of things to be done and we need your constant prayer to complete it.

Please pray that this building would be the learning and life changing place for many people so that the God's glory be extended east, west, north and west from this building. I would love to see this building as a center for various God's work in this nation.

Regarding the budgeting, our total budget is $ 35,428 out of it we have got $ 26,000 ($ 20,000 from a friend and $ 6000 from SOHO). So still we need another $ 9,428 for the building. It is to be located. I trust on God that He is our provider and He has right source for it. The rest is ok. Hope you will enjoy seeing the pictures of the building.

You are in our prayers and thoughts daily. May the Lord our God bless you richly.

Yours,
Sher and Kalpana.

JANUARY 31, 2007

The building construction is going on. All the trees are cut down and the land is leveled and the building materials (sand, rods, stones and bricks) have been delivered. The laborers are making holes for the illars. More people will come for work in a few days and then the work will go faster.

It looks like a kind of river bank and it makes concerned because I don't quite see the shape of the building yet.. But I know that in just one month, it will start taking shape. I can't imagine but know it will be another memorable moment in this ministry. Praise the Lord. God is so great to me.

We invited our church leaders and some other Christian friends on this day. Many people came and prayed for this building construction. Our children came too. They are our ministry and they were so excited to see it. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

With love and prayer.

JANUARY 1, 2007

The 1st of January 2007 has been one of the greatest and most significant days in our ministry life. You know why . . . After a long time of waiting and praying, we were able to put the corner stone of the building for the Children's Home. Praise the Lord and Hallelujah !!!

Thank the Lord for this wonderful, great and happy day. It was impossible from man's perspective to see this unfold, especially from my own. But God is so gracious and kind and He have given us such wonderful partners in this ministry working shoulder to shoulder with us. I would like to give many thanks to all of our friends and family from the bottom of my heart for this amazing opportunity.

With Lots of thanks and prayers.

Yours friends in Christ
Sher and Kalpana
